Testing

Is there a way to maximize standardized tests to be an asset in measuring students ability?

I think that if the data is broken down and analyzed it can ALWAYS be helpful in educating a student. I think it is only a waste when the results are thrown in the garbage and never looked at again.

Yes. You have to form the Grand Unified Theory that connects all sciences together first though.

Data drives my instruction. As education is leaning towards assessment based everything, that's what we as teachers have to do. I test my students on a concept and if some don't understand I re teach in small group.

Sure there has to be a way but what do those tests really measure anyway?
